The Umstead Hotel & Spa

Design is always around us.....
I recently had the opportunity to visit The Umstead Hotel & Spa, and I enjoyed the observing the design elements as much as the spa treatments I had. EVERY detail in design has been addressed in every inch of the hotel. The lighting, fabric selections, carpet and artwork is exquisite!!!
If you are ever in Cary, NC you have to visit!

NC Design Online- Is LIVE

While in college I aspired to be featured in the NC Design magazine. I finally made it!

The magazine has gone 21st century.....it is now online and not in hardback anymore. It features the top interior designers in the state. Check out some of our new work that will soon be featured on our new website.

Family Room Before & After

We recently completed a family room renovation in North Raleigh. Our clients wanted to create an open and spacious feeling in their current living spaces, which would be better suited for family gatherings and entertaining. We removed a wall between the previous family room and formal living room to accomplish this goal. We altered window placements to allow for maximum natural light flow. We relocated a coat closet to create a wet bar area and added new cabinets and bookshelves for plenty of storage. We also played up several contrasting textural elements to keep in line with the nature of the existing living spaces.

And of course we have to give props to our 4-legged project manager, Rhett.

Friends, clients and family often ask me what is my personal design style.......................

The 2007 movie set design, Somethings Gotta Give, by Beth Rubino would be a perfect representation of my dream beach house. It is simple, fresh, inviting, and of course at the beach- this has my name all over it!!!
